Gearing up for Album No. 3

6 songs down, 6 more to go. i am excited and anxious about this 3rd installment because of the new stripped down setup of drip but ian magbanua a.k.a. morse (my better drip half) has proven to be quite the songwriter himself and it's refreshing to see things in a new light. here we are, hard at work in the studio.

Feeling the music. For some good vibes.
Concentrating in the studio or else Ian will remind me "you need more practice!"

49 crosses

My husband Johnny recently exhibited "Abstraction is Homeless" at Manila Contemporary along with artists Argie Bandoy, Jonathan Olazo & Bernard Pacquing. His particular work, entitled "Content" was comprised of 49 crosses made of weathered steel and wood. This will also be the concept for our Halloween Decor in October; creating a makeshift cemetery in the subdivision. Will make sure to document people's reactions... Happy Halloween in advance.

XOXO

Never be embarrassed to show your affection to those you love. It does a lot of good to their spirit. Haha. XOXO.

Long weekends

Aside from taking that much-needed welcome break from the usual routine, long weekends is a time to take things slow and enjoy the company of loved ones and friends. We explored the new side of BGC and went to Nolita for dinner and Slice for dessert. Both were wonderful. Good food, reasonably-priced, and cool ambience.

Simple joys

Random shots that my husband Johnny took. They are a reminder to me that life is about simple joys.

New songs from Drip

It's been a while since Drip has played live and so when our good friend Paul Pajo invited us last July 3 to sing at Saguijo (also his birthday celebration by the way), we just had to come out again. It felt great performing live and most especially for being warmly received by the audience. Ian and I have been quite busy writing new stuff. So far we have 5 solid ones, there are about 3 rough songs in the making. For sure, the 3rd album will happen this year and we have music fans to thank for always listening and being there. Special thanks to Paul Pajo, Ed Cruz, Melvin Fetalvero, Bobby Datingaling, Cris Garcimo for the support. Oh and lastly, there's a link at the end for a sneak listen of one of the songs we wrote entitled "Truth is." recorded by Bobby Datingaling. Cheers!
